Lubbock, TX Photo

If your plans are bringing you to Lubbock on a September weekend, beware, the hub city will be wheeling with activity.  This month starts Tech football with games scheduled on September 13th and the 20th, as well. With Tech ranked at number 12 in the nation it will certainly be packed Raider fans.  Get your 'Guns Up' and support the home team.

We are more then just football, with the South Plains Fair running from the 19th through the 27th: then the Music Festival on the 26 and 27, featuring KC and the Sunshine band.  Locals say we are not a destination city but now you are in the know.  For the latest in the local events try visit Lubbock’s new website.

Fall weather in West Texas is simply awesome.  With highs in the low 80's and cooling off to low 60's, it is a great time to find an outdoor patio for dinner and drinks.  Let me suggest the depot district for the college kids and Gas Light for the parents.  Abuelo's Mexican food Embassy has a patio as well: open on the weekends with music and great food and drinks.  Or you can always order Steaks Express for delivery and sit out on our patio by the pool.  This is great time of the year to be outside and enjoy the cool crisp smell of fall.

No matter the reason for your visit to my hometown rest assured you will have a clean place to stay with friendly service at the Arbor Inn and Suites.  Book early because we can get busy and actual sell all 73 rooms.
